Ideation
This project was part of the Rimowa Design Prize 2025, which focused on the theme of "MOBILITY".
In this competition, I had the privilege of being selected among the top 21 finalists.

The idea began with sketches generated through artificial intelligence, which helped me explore ideas and later refine the design.

Design
The concept was developed in several phases, with a focus on highlighting the main mechanism of storage and expansion.
It was experimented with different lengths of the raincoat to determine the optimal balance between functionality and aesthetics.


Sewing
One of the most challenging stages of the project was sewing and constructing the product in its final form.
Despite having no prior experience in this area, I approached the process with experimentation and persistence, gradually learning the basics of pattern making, cutting, and assembly.

Inflating
The primary function of the hood is its inflatable air chamber integrated along the orange edge.
The system operates through a hand-squeezed pump that directs air into the chamber until it is fully inflated.

Pump
By repeatedly pressing it, air is directed into the chamber through a connected tube, allowing the structure to expand until it reaches full volume.

Hood
Its flexible materials and lightweight construction allow it to fold neatly around the collar area, reducing bulk while maintaining comfort.

Cord stopper
By tightening the cord, the fabric can be gathered and secured, reducing its volume and making it more practical to carry when not in use
